Mac OS X Tip! Jak zálohovat filmy z DVD do počítače
Zálohování písniček do iTunes není na Macu nic složitého (http://www.kuptolevne.cz/blog/jak-zalohovat-cd-pomoci-itunes-24/), a ani zálohování filmů není nijak náročné.
Potřebujete k tomu jen dva programy - Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/downloads.php), ve kterém budete vše nastavovat, a přehrávač VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/), jehož součásti si Handbrake (někde na pozadí) "půjčuje".
Obě aplikace stáhněte a nainstalujte, tedy přetáhněte do složky Applications. Vložte do počítače DVD, které chcete zálohovat, vypněte automaticky spuštěný DVD Player (Cmd - Q) a nastartujte Handbrake.
V nově otevřeném okně vyberte zdroj videa, tedy DVD v sidebaru. Stejně tak můžete obsah několika DVD ve Finderu přetáhnout na pevný disk a nastavit konverzi více DVD v jedné dávce. My budeme ripovat z klasického DVD, proto vlevo klikám na DVD Pulp Fiction a potvrzuji Open.
Vpravo, pod ikonou Toggle Presets, je schovaných několik předvoleb, my si pro větší jistotu (a pochopení) nastavíme těch pár parametrů ručně. Vycházím z toho, že video si ripujeme do iTunes a bude se přehrávat jak v počítači, tak v iPodu (a to samé platí samozřejmě i pro iPhone). Potřebujeme tedy maximální kvalitu, kterou i technicky ještě iPod zvládne přehrát, abychom se při přehrávání toho samého na počítači nedívali jen na hromadu kostiček.
Formát si vyberte MP4, zaškrtněte iPod 5G Support. Video kodek vyberte H.264 a bitrate (velmi zjednodušeně kvalitu a od ní se odvíjející velikost souboru) zvolte mezi 700 a 1500. Pro vyšší kvalitu zaškrtněte 2-pass encoding a Turbo first pass.
Ještě chvilku se budeme věnovat nastavení obrazu, plnou velikost by totiž iPod nepřehrál. Pro obrazovku iPodu Touch a iPhone by stačilo video široké 480 pixelů, ale iPod zvládne přehrát i video o "rozměrech" 640 x 480 pixelů. Velikost obrazu se nastavuje vpravo dole nenápadným tlačítkem Picture settings...
Tam si v okénku Size nechte zaškrtnuté Keep aspect ratio, Anamorphic vyberte None, což vám umožní změnit velikost videa. Větší rozměr nastavte 640 nebo nejbližší nižší. Klikněte na Close a můžeme nastavovat Audio a titulky.
Vyberte druhou záložku, tedy Audio&Subtitles, a vyberte si zvukovou stopu. Dole si, pokud je požadujete, zvolte požadovaný jazyk titulků.
Další záložky můžeme nechat být, vše je připravené ke konverzi. Nahoře klikněte na Start a dejte si na dvě, tři hodiny pauzu. Z hučení si hlavu nedělejte, konverze je náročná na výkon procesoru, a ten se při zátěži chladí.
Jak vidíte, zálohování filmů do počítače není nic složitého; pokud nebudete chtít filmy zároveň přehrávat v iPodu, můžete si nechat vyšší rozlišení obrazu a budete mít téměř DVD kvalitu při výrazně nižší velikosti souboru.
